Xpeng Motors has opened its first flagship experience center in China, its latest effort at branding upgrades after launching its first supercharger station with a new brand identity earlier this year.

Xpeng Motors said Thursday that users have accumulated more than 5 million kilometers using the Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) feature as of May 31, 125 days since the feature was made available to users on Jan. 26.

Nio, which rose more than 10 times in 2020, has seen its biggest pullback this year at 54%, Xpeng at 62%, and Li Auto at 58%.

Xpeng would need to deliver 4,667-5,167 vehicles in June to meet its previous guidance, which doesn't seem difficult for the company given that it delivered 10,833 vehicles cumulatively in April and May.

Xpeng Motors disclosed a patent on June 1 for a vehicle thermal management system that could improve battery heat dissipation if used in mass-production models.

Xpeng delivered 3,797 units of the P7 sedan in May, the highest monthly delivery record since the mass delivery in July 2020.

Xpeng Motors started pushing Xmart OS v2.6.0 to a small number of users on Monday, bringing with it the previously mentioned memory parking feature Valet Parking Assist (VPA).

Although P5 may push the company's profitability down, the P5 model is well designed to increase Xpeng's brand influence in China's EV market.

Xpeng P7 is about to receive a major new version of the OTA upgrade, with the Xmart OS version number upgraded to 2.6.0.

Xpeng Motors will release its first large SUV in 2022, which will be the company's fourth model and will be comparable in size to the Nio ES6, local media reported Monday.
