CATL's market share in May increased by 3.44 percentage points compared to April, while BYD's share decreased by 3.86 percentage points.

BYD's share increased by 0.90 percentage points in March from February, while CATL's fell by 2.07 percentage points.

BYD's share grew in February as NEV sales rebounded, while CATL saw a small decline.

CATL's share grew by 1.6 percentage points in January from December, while BYD saw its share drop by 0.29 percentage points due to lower NEV sales.

For the full year of 2024, CATL ranked first with a 45.08 percent share, BYD was second with 24.74 percent, and CALB was third with 6.68 percent.

China's EV battery installations were 67.2 GWh in November, up 49.7 percent year-on-year and up 13.5 percent from October.

In October, China's power battery installations amounted to 59.2 GWh, up 51 percent year-on-year and up 8.6 percent from September.

CATL and BYD both saw their share of the Chinese EV battery market decrease slightly in September, as smaller players, including Gotion High-tech, gained share.

CATL's share in August decreased by 2.84 percentage points from July, while BYD increased by 2.14 percentage points.
