Qijing has appointed an industry veteran with over 25 years of automotive experience as CEO, responsible for strategy, product planning, and market expansion.

GAC said it will prioritize the new brand -- Qijing -- allocating superior resources to ensure its long-term development.

The Hyptec HL EREV is equipped with a 60-kWh Freevoy Battery provided by CATL, with a CLTC battery range of 350 km.

GAC Group will unveil the Xingyuan extended-range system on August 19, with the Hyptec HL EREV version set to go on sale at the same time.

The official guide price for the Govy AirCab is no more than RMB 1.68 million ($233,900), with deliveries set to begin by the end of 2026.

GAC will set up a CKD localized production project in Egypt, with mass production expected in the second half of 2026.

The GH project is seen as a new collaboration approach within Huawei's automotive business unit, according to local media.

GAC and Huawei will jointly launch a new car brand, with the first product being an EV model priced in the RMB 300,000 range.
