Meanwhile, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) today announced the latest batch of models that will soon be allowed to be sold in its catalog, which includes the Xiaomi YU7, bringing its core specs to light.

The public can submit feedback between December 10 and 16. Entry into this catalog is the last major regulatory process by which a model can be allowed to be sold in China.

The Xiaomi YU7 has only one model in the filing catalog, the XMA6500LBEVA1, and will be manufactured at Xiaomi EV's factory in Yizhuang, Beijing.

It measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width and 1,600 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

The model weighs 2,405 kilograms and supports a top speed of 253 kilometers per hour.

The Xiaomi YU7 is powered by a Li-ion ternary battery from , the capacity of which is currently unknown.

The model is equipped with dual electric motors, with the front and rear motors having a peak power of 220 kW and 288 kW respectively.

Xiaomi officially launched its first model, the SU7, on March 28, offering three versions -- Standard, Pro, and Max -- with starting prices of RMB 215,900 ($29,720), RMB 245,900, and RMB 299,900, respectively.

On November 18, Xiaomi said SU7 deliveries had exceeded 100,000 units, completing its full-year target ahead of schedule.

Xiaomi would challenge a new target of 130,000 units delivered for the full year of 2024, it said last month.
