This is the sixth consecutive record monthly delivery for Li Auto, bringing third quarter deliveries to a record 105,108 units, above the upper end of the previous guidance range of 100,000 to 103,000 units.
Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) achieved a new delivery record last month, bringing third-quarter deliveries to a record high.
The extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) maker delivered a record 36,060 vehicles in September, up 212.72 percent year-on-year and up 3.28 percent from August, according to data it released today.
It was Li Auto's sixth consecutive record monthly delivery, bringing third-quarter deliveries to a record 105,108 vehicles, above the upper end of its previous guidance range of 100,000 to 103,000 vehicles.
At the end of September, Li Auto's cumulative deliveries for the year amounted to 244,225 units, up 180.95 percent year-on-year. The company's cumulative deliveries since inception stood at 501,559 units, data monitored by CnEVPost showed.
"Driven by the ever-increasing market demand, we made numerous historic breakthroughs in September, achieving record-high weekly and monthly sales performance as well as a new high in order intake with over 40,000 orders received in a single month," Li Xiang, Li Auto's founder, chairman and CEO, said.
Li Auto's current models on sale include the five-seat Li L7, and the six-seat Li L8 and Li L9, all of which are EREVs, essentially plug-in hybrids.
For the second consecutive month, Li Auto's three L-Series models delivered more than 10,000 units each, the company said today.
As of September 30, the company had 361 retail stores in 131 cities and 318 repair centers and Li Auto authorized body and paint stores in 213 cities.
Notably, Li Auto's deliveries are likely to dip in October as it plans to use the ongoing holiday season to upgrade its factory.
Li Auto will stop production to upgrade its factory at the end of September and during China's National Day, with all production lines upgraded to double-shift production, Li said on September 19 on Weibo.
The company's vehicles are produced at its plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, which currently has two production lines, one for double-shift production and the other for single-shift production, Li said on June 18.
Li Auto's peak weekly production capacity was 7,500 vehicles before the production line upgrade, which could reach 10,000 vehicles per week in the fourth quarter after both production lines are working double shifts, Li said in June.
